Of the four games played in the Bolton Over 35s Football League on Sunday, the two Division One games were both played as “double headers”, so the winners received six points.

Rochdale Sacred Heart Vets beat Salford Victoria 5-4 to go above them and take second place in the table and, with two remaining games, have mathematical chance of winning the title, but leaders Bury FC Vets have three games left so are odd on to win the Division.

Daz Smith scored two as Nicky Hand, James Largey and Tommy Bradburn each scored one for Rochdale while Lee McNamara, Anthony Weall, James Achebe and Carl Humes scored for the visitors.

The other six-pointer saw Tika Taka Morris Dancers lose 3-7 at home to AFC Monton. Clinton Brearley, Danny Lowe and Phil Caldwell scored one apiece for Tika Taka, but they were no match for Monton for whom Scott Weir scored a hat-trick, Danny Doherty netted a brace as Mark Platt and Mark Bradshaw added one each.

In Division Two, Old Boltonians Vets had a 3-1 away win over bottom side Stoneclough in their final game of the campaign and move above BLGC who conceded their final game to leaders Atherton Town who have 33 points with one game to play, so they need just one point for the championship ahead of De La Salle who can only reach 33 points if they win their next two matches, one of which is at Atherton.

Adam Ralphson scored the Stoneclough goal but a Leon Farrimond goal and a Ryan Hardwidge double gave Old Boltonians the points.

Division Three leaders North Walkden Vets had a comprehensive 5-1 home win over Radcliffe Rangers, taking their tally to 33 points with one game to play, however, that is against Astley & Tyldesley Vets on Sunday 26 May, and with three remaining matches, A&T could take the title if they win them all.

Ian Teasdale scored the consolation goal for Radcliffe Rangers, but Craig White, Kelby Makin and Lee Bonilla with a goal each and a Kristian Carter double kept Walkden on track for the title.

Although there are still semi-final to play, the Cup finals have been arranged as follow:
