Minutes of The Over 35 Veterans' Football League meeting  -  4th April 2025
held at Bolton Cricket Club

In Attendance: Neil Smith, Keiran Mather, John Riley, and delegates from each team

Non Attendances: Astley & Tyldesley, De La Salle, East Leigh, Radcliffe F.C. Old Boys Vets, Radcliffe F.C. Old Boys, Radcliffe Rangers & Salford Vets.

No Matters Arising

N.Smith – Roll Call

J Riley:

·         We are near the end of the season and there may be a need to play midweek night matches to complete league and cup fixtures.

·         All fixtures will need to be completed.

N Smith:

·         If we do not have any interest in the available committee positions, we may have to advertise in The Bolton News. We still need volunteers for the Vice Chairman, Registration Secretary and Treasurer positions.

AOB:

·         There will be no update on any new teams joining the league until the AGM meeting.

·         Any proposed rule changes must be brought in writing to the next meeting.

·         N Smith proposes that the rule change he wants to be considered is that goal difference should be included in deciding league positions at the end of the season.

·         There are potential positions in the league for new teams and this can be discussed at the AGM. All new teams must be affiliated to be considered.

·         Dates for the cup finals will be decided after this weekends fixtures, dates have been pencilled in for the 4^th and 11^th May but can only be finalised once this weekends fixtures take place and we know all teams’ availability.

·         Congratulations to De La Salle for winning the Manchester County Cup.

·         Keiran has volunteered to become Registration Secretary.

Next meeting is Friday 2nd May 2025 at Bolton Cricket Club.
