Minutes of The Over 35 Veterans' Football League meeting  -  4th September 2026
held at Bolton Cricket Club

In Attendance: N Smith, K Mather, J Riley, J Craig, D Hodgkiss and delegates from each team.

Non-Attendances:  Old Boys Vets.

No Matters Arising

N.Smith: Roll Call.

K Mather:

Registrations are up to date and all teams have enough players to start the league.

The league affiliation has been submitted and approved by the LFA.

D Hodgkiss:

Can all teams ensure they put the referee scores on the match cards so I can monitor, anything under 5 will be looked into.

Can all teams refer to the new rules on throw ins, goalkeeper handling the ball and substitutions, there is a time limit on all to keep play flowing. KM will bring these rules and distribute at the next meeting.

There will be a cooling period applied and refs are allowed to send teams to one side on any instances deemed necessary so they can speak to the individuals and coaches.

Captains are allowed to discuss instances with the referees to maintain respect for the official.

J Riley:

Can all match cards be sent before 6pm on Sundays.

J Craig:

4 teams fines are not known if payment has been made, once we receive a statement I can update.

AOB:

De La Salle players are allowed to register: however they cannot form a team within this league, and each player will be subject to scrutiny if any problems arise during matches involving these players.

Next Meeting will be held on 6th November 2026 at Bolton Cricket Club.
